Fisheries and Maritime
YourTerm MARE is a project on the domains of fishing and maritime terminology. It is carried out in cooperation with EU agencies (EFCA, EMSA and CdT), UN organisations (IMO and FAO), and several international universities.
The following sub-projects are currently active:
Maritime Safety & Ships Construction
Maritime terminology covers the areas of maritime safety and ship construction with key terminology work concerning naval and port operations such as ship types, components, equipment, tugging, etc.
Fish Names & Commercial Species
This sub-project includes the current usage of commercial and scientific names of fish species in EU, Member State law and the international marketplace.
